Virtual KAP
Ketamine prescribed remotely, taken at home, with your therapist present by video for preparation, the session, and integration.
Virtual Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (Virtual KAP) brings the full arc of KAP—preparation, medicine session, and integration—into a format that fits busy schedules and those who prefer or need to remain at home. A licensed medical provider evaluates whether ketamine is appropriate and prescribes according to clinical standards; your therapist then meets with you by secure video for each phase of care.
How virtual sessions work
Before any medicine session, you and your therapist complete preparation work: clarifying intentions, reviewing safety and expectations, and building trust so the experience feels held rather than rushed. On session days, you take prescribed ketamine in a private, comfortable space you control—typically reclining or resting—with your therapist on video throughout. Afterward, you have dedicated time for processing and integration so insights can translate into everyday life.
Who it may suit
- Clients who travel often, have limited mobility, or live farther from the office
- Those who feel safest or most regulated in their own environment
- People pairing KAP with ongoing weekly therapy at NEST or elsewhere
Safety and fit
Virtual KAP is not appropriate for everyone. Medical and psychiatric screening, a stable support system, and a private space free from interruption are essential. Your care team will discuss contraindications, emergency planning, and whether in-person or concierge options might be a better match. When criteria are met, virtual KAP can offer meaningful access without sacrificing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of KAP.
